Consider the Unfailing Love and Mercy of God

Introduction: vv 1-3, 43

Main Idea: Two aids in considering the steadfast love and mercy of Yahweh that you might be wise and give thanks to Him.

1. Consider Yahweh's merciful rescue of all kinds of helpless sinners (vv. 4-32).

   a) He saves wanderers who have strayed from Him (vv. 4-9).

   b) He saves prisoners in darkness and misery (vv. 10-16).

   c) He saves fools who are suffering because of their sin (vv. 17-22).

   d) He saves storm-tossed souls who are helpless in danger (vv. 23-32).

2. Consider Yahweh, the God of great reversals (vv. 33-42).

   a) He turns a blessed land into a cursed land (vv. 33-34).

   b) He turns a cursed land into a blessed land (vv. 35-38).

   c) He brings the proud down low (vv. 39-40).

   d) He raises the lowly up high (vv. 41-42).
