Greg grew up attending church frequently, but it was not until midway through his college years at the University of Tennessee that he came to saving faith in Jesus Christ. After college, he attended The Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley, California, to study for pastoral ministry. Following graduation, he returned to East Tennessee and served for five years at Grace Community Church in Maryville, completing a two-year pastoral internship through the XL Ministries program, and then becoming the pastor for church planting in order to lead what is now Crossway Bible Church. Greg and his wife, Tracee, are the privileged parents of a son and three daughters.
Brian made a profession of faith in Sunday School at a young age but the fruit of repentance did not become obvious until his teenage years. During those years he grew spiritually in the Word Of Life youth group at his church. After high school and while attending Word of Life Bible Institute, it seemed good to him to pursue full time ministry. Upon graduation he attended Tennessee Temple University. Near the end of his time there he met his wife Jessica. Realizing he needed more instruction and guidance for pastoral ministry he attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Following seminary he pastored Chapman Grove Baptist Church for five years with expositional teaching and evangelism being his primary focus. This focus brought him to a clearer and more biblical understanding of God's design for the church. Understanding the biblical teaching regarding plurality of elders he was introduced to Grace Community church in Maryville where he first came under their authority and then began to serve in various capacities both teaching and being taught.
Having served there for 6 years and having a desire to be used by the Lord in any capacity He saw fit, the opportunity to serve alongside Greg in a new church plant thrilled both him and Jessica. Together with their one son and three daughters they embark joyfully on this journey together.
